One clear, recent color photo.
Breed/size/color, sex, and where and when last seen.
Your name and two phone numbers in large print (ASPCA).
Consider leaving out one identifying detail so you can verify callers; beware of scammers who demand money, for example claiming your pet needs emergency surgery (Humane Society scam alert).
Post at intersections, vet clinics, pet stores, shelters, and parks; follow local posting rules.
